Why is the above information required?

As an online invitation, charity & gift fundraising service, the regulations require our users to register with their legal name.

Even though you may not be collecting contributions at the moment, we recommend you set up your Fundzzle account with the name registered on your bank account or government issued ID. This will allow for a quick verification and withdrawal of any group gift funds collected for future events.

Payment Provider Registration

Why is this information required?

Our payment provider partner MANGOPAY fulfils the KYC part of the regulations when contributions are collected, escrowed and distributed. KYC stands for Know Your Customer and entails the whole verification process of our users. This process is part of the anti-money laundering regulation, known as AML, which requires institutions to make sure that money transacting through their system has been acquired and distributed legally.
